Deirdre Grimes is an abstract artist whose painting practice is deeply influenced by the landscape of Killaloe and Lough Derg. Working with acrylic and canvas she creates intuitive, fluid works through a method of controlled pouring.

Her paintings evoke the natural world through texture, colour, and atmosphere—offering space for emotion and interpretation without anchoring the viewer to a specific scene.

With a background in fine art and a deep connection to the earth, Deirdre’s work reflects the rhythms of stone, water, and light. Her paintings have been exhibited locally and collected both in Ireland and internationally.
